The doll in my head has given me fits from what her dress should look like to her hair style not to mention the size of her eyes.Well needless to say off went her head (3 time) but finally got what we both were happy with.Then it was with her hair. After it was all needle felted on she did'nt like the gray that was in it.It was mostly black and some brown with just a little gray here and there.Well that would'nt do so off it came.Now I had tried dyeing wool before but did'nt turn out like I hoped.After much thought I figured I'd try it again and this time I loved it.Some I did blonde and some black and it came out so pretty.

My first batch of blonde came out to dark so I used less dye and it was great.

I still have boxes I am unpacking 1 year after we moved.I came across a doll I had started long ago.I did'nt like how I had done it before so took all the stitches out and redid her face just to see if I could do it better.She turned out kinda cute.If you look close you can see where I moved her nose and mouth stitches,but thats ok shes my practice doll... I don't know if it's the heat or what but I just can't seem to settle down and just finish some of the things I have to finish up.I keep jumping from one thing to another which makes me feel like I am not getting anywhere.I don't know if anyone else gets like this or not but I don't like it.Hopefully next time I post things will be calmer here and I will find myself lol....

I didn't hear a thing.....but someone broke into our home last night, let me tell you about it

........My thighs were stolen from me during the night a few years ago. I went to sleep and woke up with someone else's thighs. It was just that quick. The replacements had the texture of cooked oatmeal.Whose thighs were these and what happened to mine? I spent the entire summer looking for my thighs. Finally, hurt and angry, I resigned myself to living out my life in jeans. And then the thieves struck again.My butt was next. I knew it was the same gang, because they took pains to match my new rear-end to the thighs they had stuck me with earlier. But my new butt was attached at least three inches lower than my original! I realized I'd have to give up my jeans in favor of long skirts.Two years ago I realized my arms had been switched. One morning I was fixing my hair and was horrified to see the flesh of my upper arm swing to and fro with the motion of the hairbrush. This was really getting scary - my body was being replaced one section at a time.What could they do to me next?When my poor neck suddenly disappeared and was replaced with a turkey neck, I decided to tell my story. Women of the world, wake up and smell the coffee! Those 'plastic' surgeons are using REAL replacement body parts -stolen from you and me! The next time someone you know has something 'lifted', look again - was it lifted from you?THIS IS NOT A HOAX. This is happening to women everywhere every night.These same thieves come in my closet and shrink my clothes! How do they do it????
WARN YOUR FRIENDS! P.S. Last year I thought some one had stolen my boobs. I was lying inbed and they were gone! But when I jumped out of bed, I was relieved to see that they had just been hiding in my armpits as I slept. Now I keep them hidden in my waistband.

Little by little

This little dolly has been in my head for a long time.Usually I know who or what they will be as I am working on them,but not with this one.She seems to have a mind of her own.So far she told me her eyes were to be green.

Then after I did that she informed me she needed more color.So when I am finished here thats what we will be doing.She has picked the fabric she wants and the style,but that's as far as we got so far.The fabric is so pretty.I'll show you a pic but it sure does'nt show up as good as it looks.It's like black satin with metallic gold leaves and metallic pink,blue,and purple flowers on it I just love it.Also I gave her a wire armature in her arms that makes it so nice to pose her.

Well all for now I need to get busy with her she is being so demanding lol.I am hoping to get her makeup and clothing done today.Hopfully by then she'll know what hair style she wants and I'll be able to finish her this week. God bless..................

Those words made it worth all the aches and pains and blisters lol.Just watching him in the water having fun made it all worth whiled.Plus knowing it was finished and I did'nt have to get up the next day facing it lol.We did have a problem with the well when we first tried filling it.The well shut off and we did'nt have water for a couple days,but the well guys came out and showed my DH that the problem was in the box some kind of safety thing.We thanked the Lord for that we thought it was going to cost us a lot of money to fix it.We've had so much trouble with it since we had the well put in.

So most of my outside projects are done.I would like to put up an old water pump we have out at the pond.Then I can start doing my dolls again.I have lots of ideas and can't wait to get started.It is hard in the summer especially when you have kids.They always have things they want to do.Jordan has 1 boy around here he plays with but his mom and dad arn't together so half the time he's at his dads.I hate seeing him by his self so my DH and I try doing things with him.He plays video games but I don't like seeing him sit at that all day either.We are getting fishing licenses so we can take him fishing.He loves fishing but don't want to eat them.He throws them back in which is fine with me.

Thought I was about done

The pond is about done have to plant a few more flowers and we might put in an old water pump a friend gave us.Also started digging for our sons pool.We told him to use this one this year and if the well gives us no trouble next year we'll get him a bigger one.To tell the truth I am glad this pool isn't any bigger this digging is about killing me lol.I can't wait to get all this done so I can get back to my dolls.

I love being outside and doing things but the digging is hard and I never saw so many rocks.My DH tried helping this morning but it's way to much for him with his heart and lungs in such bad shape.Jordan our 11 yr old son has been so helpful he really worries about his daddy too.Tyson(the pup) he's something else he's white but when he are done he's as dirty as he can get.He loves digging and rolling in the soft dirt...

We added the waterfall here and filling it up..........This is the starting of the pool................

DH has to get the sand Monday they were closed today.Hopefully Jordan will be able to start using it next week..............

I have so many things I want to do but just not enough time.I have all these dolls going through my head and dying to get started on them.So that helps me push myself to get this stuff done lol...........have a great and safe weekend.............

It's the ponds fault and few doll pics

I got the idea to put in a pond.It semed like an easy project I did it before,but that was 10 years ago at our old house.I can tell you one thing my body isn't what it use to be thats for sure.I am so thankful my son wanted to help I could'nt have did it.He's only 11,but he really did great.Then we got some greatly appreciated help from our grandson inlaw.My husband wanted to help,but with his heart condition there was no way...

We have the dirt around,but have to add the waterfall.We should have that done by the weekend.It has been rainning so much we can't finish it now.

In the mean time I have been practicing on some doll heads.Finally I think I have the eyes going the way I want them.I just cut out a new doll and got it sewed up this morning.So hope to have her together tonight.

I am sorry

For not posting for so long.It's been one thing after another going wrong.I went for some muslin and thought I'd try a different weight.Got home put it in my tea/coffee bath it was awful.It was so stiff I had a hard time wring it out.I thought maybe after it dried it would be ok.So I sewed up a couple heads still did'nt like it.It pucker at each seam stuffing did'nt help it either.So off I went and bought more of what I had before.
Thought I'd practice some eyes well that did'nt go so good either.One set was bigger then I wanted so I did another head and set of eyes well they turned out smaller then what I was wanting.So now I have two more heads ready and going to try it again.
You know how it is when you get something in your head of what you want.I have this dolly in my head and she's being very picky.I am working on her nose now then the eyes so when I get them finished I'll post a pic and some others I have taken and you can see what I am talking about.I'll have some pic this evening or in the morning.
